In a recent development, the Criminal Police in Pinneberg are conducting an investigation against a tavern operator in Schenefeld, suspected of organizing illegal gambling events.

The investigation was initiated following a search operation on Tuesday, September 2nd, 2025, at a tavern located on Parkgrund Street and a residential address within Schenefeld city limits. The search warrants were issued by a judge at the Itzehoe Local Court upon application by the Public Prosecutor's Office in Itzehoe.

During the searches, substantial evidence of illegal gambling was found, including five gaming devices and a betting terminal. The officers also discovered a significant amount of cash and gold coins, totalling a six-figure euro amount, in the suspect's residence.

The origin of these assets has not yet been clarified, and they have been temporarily seized for further proceedings. Additionally, the regulatory authority identified several violations of trade regulations in the tavern and initiated the corresponding administrative offenses.

However, there is no specific information available about the identity of the suspected tavern operator being investigated for the alleged illegal gambling events.
