The South East Hesse Police Presidency and the local church community came together in a show of unity at the traditional Ecumenical service held last Saturday in the Einhard Basilica in Seligenstadt. The service, led by Police Chaplains Barbara Goerich-Reinel, Till Wisseler, and Anna Albert, was festively decorated for the pre-Christmas season.

The theme of the service was "Why it's worth it", focusing on commitment to the common good. The service was a joint prayer of police and church, emphasizing the cooperation between the two entities. The Hesse Police Orchestra, under the direction of Edgar Sterkel, added a musical touch to the service.

During the service, a significant donation was made towards the "Wishmobile Rhine-Main" project. The recipient of the donation was the Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund (ASB). The collection during the service amounted to 1,552 euros. The "Wishmobile Rhine-Main" project aims to help seriously ill people fulfill a last wish.

The service was part of the South East Hesse Police Presidency's events leading up to Christmas. The event was well-attended by numerous visitors and supported by police officers from the South East Hesse Police Presidency. No specific pre-Christmas message was mentioned beyond the theme "Why it's worth it".

Following the service, the donation was handed over to the ASB team immediately. The service also included prayers, services, and recognition for the work of the police and social organizations in the region.

The Förderverein Einhard-Basilika Seligenstadt e.V. conducted a fundraising collection for the "Wishmobile Rhine-Main" project at the service. The donation made during the service was a testament to the commitment of the South East Hesse Police Presidency and the church community towards helping those in need during the festive season.
