The German National Team is gearing up for their second World Cup qualifier, this time against Northern Ireland, and they'll have a key player back in the lineup.

Following his injury during the first half of the previous match against Slovakia, Serge Gnabry will be available for the match in Cologne. The winger had to undergo surgery for a fracture but has made a successful recovery, according to the German Football Association.

Gnabry was substituted for Karim Adeyemi in the 66th minute of the Slovakia match, wearing an arm sling in the second half. However, it seems he has fully recovered and will be ready to take the field on Sunday at 20:45 CET.

Unfortunately, Niclas Füllkrug won't be joining the team due to muscular problems in his calf. Füllkrug was initially part of the squad, but head coach Julian Nagelsmann has called up Maximilian Beier as his replacement. Beier, who was called up before the World Cup qualifying match, will make his debut for the German national team.

Nagelsmann has been busy preparing the team for the match in Cologne, with the final training session scheduled for the afternoon (16:30 CET) in the Cologne stadium. The team's first World Cup qualifier resulted in a 0:2 defeat against Slovakia, so they'll be eager to turn things around in this match.

The match against Northern Ireland will be broadcast on RTL. The location of the previous match was Bratislava.

Two years ago, Gnabry suffered a fracture of the left ulna in a DFB-Pokal match for Bayern against Preussen Munster. But he's overcome that setback and is now ready to help the German team in their quest for World Cup qualification.
