Power Outage in Zaporizhzhia Oblast: Repair Work Underway

Repair work is currently underway in the Zaporizhzhia Oblast, following a power outage caused by a Russian attack, as announced by Ivan Fedorov, Head of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast Military Administration, on Telegram.

Five emergency crews, supervised by the Zaporizhzhia Oblast Military Administration, are working tirelessly to restore power supply in the region. The company responsible for commissioning these emergency teams is Ukrenergo, the Ukrainian state transmission system operator.

According to Fedorov, approximately 25,000 electricity consumers in Zaporizhzhia Oblast are without power due to the attack. Ten people are undergoing examinations in hospital, and six have been admitted for treatment.

On the night of 29-30 August, Russia struck Ukraine with attack drones, air-, ground-, and sea-launched missiles. Ukraine's air defense systems intercepted 548 out of 582 Russian aerial targets, although some strikes and falling debris were recorded.

Fedorov reported earlier that the attack on the oblast had left nine people with minor injuries, 14 with moderate injuries, and one man in a serious condition. One woman had been killed. No new information about the progress of the repair work or the status of the repair work in Zaporizhzhia Oblast has been provided by the Zaporizhzhia Oblast Military Administration.

Engineers in Zaporizhzhia Oblast promise to complete the repairs over the course of the day. However, no new information about the completion of repairs has been provided as of the time of the announcement.
