Power-packed Aston Martin Super Cygnet, featuring a distinctive V8 engine, now available for purchase
The Aston Martin Cygnet, first introduced in 2011, was a unique gamble for the luxury car manufacturer. With the aim of lowering the average CO2 output of their fleet, Aston Martin decided to base the Cygnet on the Toyota IQ. However, the Cygnet was far from ordinary, boasting layers of Connolly leather, deep carpets, an Aston Martin grille, and rear lamps.
Despite initial reservations, the Cygnet has since undergone a reappraisal, and its values are on the rise. One of the most intriguing variations of the Cygnet is the Aston Martin Super Cygnet, a one-off factory-built project commissioned by a preferred customer of Aston Martin's Q division.
The Super Cygnet, created in 2018, is a powerhouse, powered by a 4.7-litre V8 engine and delivering a staggering 430bhp. This unique vehicle accelerates from 0-60mph in a blistering 4.2 seconds and, with a projected top speed of 170mph, offers an exhilarating driving experience.
The Super Cygnet's interior is a testament to Aston Martin's craftsmanship, featuring bespoke black Alcantara and carbon fibre. Recaro racing bucket seats add to the sporty feel, while a 7-speed 'Sport Shift' paddle-shift gearbox ensures smooth and precise gear changes.
The Super Cygnet's unique construction involves the front and rear subframes of an Aston Martin Vantage S being combined with a strengthened Cygnet body shell. This results in a vehicle with a purposeful, brutish stance, despite its relatively light weight of 1,375kg.
Only 300 Aston Martin Cygnet models were made, making each one a rare find. The Super Cygnet, in particular, is a truly unique piece, having covered only 2,900 miles since new.
For those with a penchant for the extraordinary, the Aston Martin Super Cygnet is now up for sale for the first time. With its powerful V8 engine, sporty interior, and unique construction, it offers a driving experience unlike any other. Interested parties are invited to apply for further details.
