Practice Strategies for Preschool Scissor Skills Training
In an innovative approach to early education, a group of bloggers will be taking charge of the kindergarten class "K1" in the upcoming school year as part of the series "Get Ready for K Through PLAY!". This series, designed to help prepare children for kindergarten, shares weekly ideas to foster a child's development.
The bloggers have already begun to share their expertise, with posts focusing on fine motor readiness activities. For instance, "Fine Motor Practice with Straws from Mess for Less" and "Simple Fine Motor Activities for at Home from Rainy Day Mum" have been well-received. A Pinterest Board for Kindergarten readiness activities has also been created, making it easier for parents to access and implement these activities at home.
Last week, the series highlighted fine motor skills development activities. Next week, the focus will shift to activities that aim to develop alphabet and phonics skills needed for Kindergarten. This will be followed by posts on playful ways to develop fine motor skills, as shared by Mama Smiles, and creative fine motor crafts for kids, as demonstrated by Toddler Approved.
The bloggers have also contributed posts on making handwriting practice fun for kids, with 55 ways from Mom to 2 Posh Lil Divas. This post, like the others, is part of the Get Ready for K Through PLAY! series.
The series promises to be a valuable resource for parents and educators alike, providing practical and engaging ways to prepare children for their kindergarten journey. Stay tuned for more updates from the Get Ready for K Through PLAY! series.
