Pregnant lady plummets to her death from a Penang condominium's 28th floor, according to the police reports.
In a tragic incident, a 34-year-old woman named Ng Wei Ling lost her life after falling from the 28th floor of a condominium in Bayan Lepas, Penang. The incident occurred around 9.10pm last night.
According to the South West district police, the woman was found deceased at the scene. Preliminary investigations suggest that there were no signs of foul play, and the case has been classified as a sudden death.
The woman was dressed in an anime costume, and forensic teams found an open window in the second bedroom of the condominium unit. They also recovered a MyKad and mobile phone believed to belong to the deceased. The woman's body was sent to the Penang Hospital Forensic Department around 12.30am for a post-mortem.
The woman lived in the condominium unit with her mother. However, it was reported that she was unemployed. The Star reported that the woman was experiencing emotional stress prior to the incident.
Authorities have urged the public not to speculate while investigations are ongoing. They emphasised that any information regarding the incident should be directed to the South West district police.
