On Saturday, September 27, 2025, the city of Gießen is hosting a new kids' city rally called "The Gießen City Rally for Kids - Gießmo's Maze: Gießmo's Search for Gießela". This exciting event, organised by Gießen Marketing, promises a day of fun, movement, and discovery for children of primary school age.
Gießmo, one of the dinosaur twins and mascots of Gießen Marketing, is on a mission to find his lost sister Gießela. Clues have been hidden around the city for the clever kids to find, making the rally a real-life adventure. The route of the rally is child-friendly, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants.
The rally flyer, packed with riddles and the stations to visit, is available now for free at the Tourist Information. You can find it in the city centre, open Monday to Friday from 10 am to 6 pm and Saturday from 10 am to 2 pm. The rally can be done individually without registration, making it easy for kids to join in the fun.
As participants guide Gießmo through the city, they will be discovering Gießen's city centre from a new perspective. Frank Hölscheidt from Gießen Marketing GmbH explains, "The rally allows children to explore the city in an engaging and interactive way, fostering a sense of adventure and discovery."
Successfully guiding Gießmo through the city and finding the solution word will result in a small surprise at the Tourist Information. This added incentive is sure to motivate the young participants to solve the riddles and complete the rally.
