In an exciting development for the Vietnamese film industry, two highly-anticipated movies are set to hit theatres this September.

Firstly, "Cô Dâu Ma" (The Bride), a horror film jointly produced by Thongkham Films of Thailand and Silver Moonlight Entertainment of Vietnam, is scheduled for nationwide release on the 19th of September. Directed by Lee Thongkham, the film is inspired by a real event that once occurred in a mysterious Thai household.

The film tells the story of Yen, a young woman who travels to Thailand for her wedding but becomes embroiled in strange rituals and uncovers terrifying secrets hidden in her husband's family. Experienced actor Thai Hoa, actress Kaity Nguyen, and Thanh Son are playing leading roles in the film, while Thai and Vietnamese actors such as Cong Duong, Jun Vu, and Narupornkamol Chaisang also feature.

The film crew built a model of a real aircraft for actor training, and the majority of the film was shot in Chiang Mai, with ancient temples and dingy forests providing a suitably eerie backdrop. "Cô Dâu Ma" is already available in Australia and New Zealand, and is expected to be released in North America and Latin America.

Meanwhile, "Tử Chiến Trên Không" (Death Battle in the Air) explores the theme of hijacking, marking our websiteese's first film to delve into this subject. The film is a co-production between the People's Public Security Cinema and private studio Galaxy Group, and is directed by Lê Nhật Quang, also known as Hàm Trần.

The film depicts a hijacking led by a character named Long, and the courage of cabin crew and air marshals is highlighted throughout. The film is based on a real-life event from 1978, and the international coproduction thriller stars actor Trịnh Thăng Bình alongside Vietnamese model and actress Rima Thanh Vy.

With two captivating films set to grace our screens, it's an exciting time for the Vietnamese film industry. Lê Nhật Quang, who also directed "Cô Dâu Ma", stated that these stories are significant in Vietnam's history, promising a thrilling cinematic experience for audiences.
