In the past few days, several burglaries and thefts have taken place in the cities of Recklinghausen and Dorsten, leaving the local communities in shock. Here's a summary of the latest developments in these ongoing investigations.
In Recklinghausen, an unusual theft occurred at a construction site on Olfener Straße. Unknown individuals made off with a water tank and 900 liters of diesel, using a plastic tank for transport. Meanwhile, in Dorsten, two incidents have been reported. On Straße Surick, between 09:45 and 11:15 on Monday, unknown individuals broke into a single-family home, stealing cash and jewelry. In a separate incident, in the early hours of Tuesday, a school on Talaue was broken into, and a small amount of cash was taken.
Additionally, in the early hours of Tuesday, unknown individuals broke into a kindergarten on Wulfener Markt, but no reported thefts were made. However, the kindergarten's glass panel of a door, windows, doors, and internal doors were damaged. Two tablets and a mobile phone were stolen.
The police are also investigating potential connections between the last three burglaries in Recklinghausen. No suspects have been identified in any of the cases so far.
