In a heart-wrenching turn of events, the family of one of the hostages, Guy Illouz, has confirmed his tragic death, making him one of the 42 deceased hostages currently being held in Gaza. Michel Illouz, Guy's father, has publicly stated his grief and accused the Cabinet of failing to secure his son's release.

Macabit Mayer, the aunt of Gali and Ziv Berman, two hostages still being held captive, has been vocal in her criticism of the Cabinet's handling of the situation. She has expressed her inability to sleep at night due to the hostage crisis and has demanded immediate action to end the ordeal.

Mayer has also addressed the United States administration, urging them to intervene and negotiate the safe return of all hostages. She has emphasised the urgency of the situation, demanding that the hostages be brought home in one deal without any stages. Mayer believes that the situation is solely within the power of the United States administration.

Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu has been warned by Michel Illouz that if the hostages do not return alive, he will have blood on his hands. This stark warning underscores the gravity of the situation and the desperate pleas for action from the families of the hostages.

In a positive development, the current German government has been actively involved in negotiations for the release of hostages in Gaza. Chancellor Friedrich Merz and Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock have been maintaining ongoing communication with international partners, prioritising the release of hostages and ceasefire discussions.

However, Mayer has questioned the Cabinet's actions against Iran, Hezbollah, Syria, and Hamas, and asked what they would boast about if 48 hostages return in coffins. She has demanded that the Cabinet ends the hostage situation within ten days to prevent Gali and Ziv Berman from marking another birthday in captivity.

Mayer has also shared some hopeful news, stating that Gali and Ziv Berman are surviving against all odds. She has demanded that the Cabinet take immediate action to ensure their safe return and prevent further tragedy. The situation remains critical, and the world watches with bated breath as negotiations continue.
