Protest Continues in Solingen on Saturday With More Demonstrations

Tomorrow, four demonstrations are scheduled in Wuppertal's city center, as stated by the local police. One event, advocating for 'Solidarity with the victims of the attack,' will occur at Alter Markt from 11 AM to 2 PM. The organizer behind this event is the 'Union of Kurdish Writers.'

Protest Continues in Solingen on Saturday With More Demonstrations

Solingen, Germany - This weekend, four demonstrations have been registered in the city centre, each with a unique motto and organiser. The demonstrations are scheduled to take place at various locations and times, with the first one starting at the Old Market at 11:00 AM.

The Union of Kurdish Writers and Journalists Syria e.V. is the organiser of the rally on the Old Market, under the motto "Solidarity with the victims of the attack". The organisers expect around 30 participants to join.

Meanwhile, at the Graf-Wilhelm-Platz / Corner Am Neumarkt, the Arab European Organization for Human Rights Development e.V. will host a rally from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, with the motto "Solidarity with the victims in Solingen - Information on the current situation". The organisers expect around 200 participants.

From 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, a rally will take place in the area of the Hofgarten at Kölner Straße / Corner Bergstraße. The organiser, the MLPD - Marxist-Leninist Party of Germany, has chosen the motto "Against fascist agitation and danger". The exact number of participants is yet to be confirmed.

At Hauptstraße / Corner Breidbacher Tor, a demonstration has been registered from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, with the motto "Woman-Life-Freedom / Political Islam is dangerous - Such mistakes should not happen again". A private individual is the organiser, and they expect around 50 participants.

The police will be present in Solingen with numerous units for these demonstrations. While the exact number of deployed officers will not be disclosed for tactical reasons, residents and visitors are advised to expect numerous traffic disruptions due to these events.

It's worth noting that further demonstrations or spontaneous demonstrations in the city centre may be registered at short notice. The city encourages everyone to stay informed and to respect each other's rights to peaceful assembly and expression.
