Purbanchal University Appoints New Deans, Aiming for Higher Academic Standards
Purbanchal University, located in Biratnagar, has appointed new deans for all three vacant faculties. The appointment ceremony, attended by various dignitaries, took place recently, marking a significant step towards the university's continued growth.
At the ceremony, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Biju Kumar Thapaliya and Registrar Prof. Dr. Kalyani Mishra Tripathi extended their best wishes to the newly appointed deans. The newly appointed deans, including Prof. Dr. Pawan Kumar Jha (Faculty of Science and Technology), Prof. Dr. Bhola Nath Sharma Ghimire (Faculty of Engineering), and Dr. Komal Prasad Dulal (Faculty of Arts, Education, and Law), expressed their commitment to contribute fully to the academic development of the university.
Prof. Dr. Jha, a professor at the College of Science and Technology, an affiliated campus under Purbanchal University, pledged to use his 22 years of academic experience to elevate the university's educational standards and reputation. Prof. Ghimire, a professor at Pulchowk Engineering Campus, a constituent campus of Tribhuvan University, shared similar sentiments, emphasising his dedication to the university's success.
The ceremony was also graced by the presence of Dean of Faculty of Medical Sciences Dr. Shailesh Mani Pokharel, Dean of Faculty of Arts, Education, and Law Ram Prasad Dhakal, President of the Professors' Association Yagya Prasad Jammarkattel, Associate Dean of Faculty of Engineering Er. Hemant Kumar Goit, and President of the Staff Union Rupesh Basnet, among others.
The university's leadership expressed confidence that the university would reach new heights during the tenure of the newly appointed deans. The newly appointed deans, in turn, pledged to work tirelessly towards this goal, aiming to further enhance the university's academic standing and reputation.
However, the chairperson of the Faculty of Engineering, who succeeded Prof. Dr. Bhola Nath Sharma Ghimire, was not publicly specified at the time of this report. Despite this, the university community remains optimistic about the future under the leadership of the newly appointed deans.
