In the world of German television, quiz shows have long been a staple of entertainment. This September, RTL is adding a new contender to the mix with the debut of "7 Right Answers - The Quiz of the Know-It-Alls."

The show, hosted by Steffen Hallaschka, will air each Monday evening and will be available on RTL+ beforehand. Up to 100,000 euros are up for grabs for the lucky contestants who can answer seven questions correctly.

Hallaschka, who succeeded Günther Jauch as host of "Stern TV" in 2011, is no stranger to the world of quiz shows. He will bring his signature balance of seriousness and lightness to the new format, following in the footsteps of Jauch who previously hosted "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?"

The first contestant on the show was an architect named Stephanie. She admitted that she doesn't think much about traffic signs, which became evident when she struggled with a question about a traffic sign with the colours green and yellow. The audience and the competitors became restless as she pondered her answer.

RTL has high hopes for the new format, having tested several new quiz shows in recent months, including "The Perfect Row" and "Smarter Than Everyone. Beat Germany?". The concept of "7 Right Answers - The Quiz of the Know-It-Alls" allows for quick contestant changes and exposes knowledge gaps, keeping the audience on the edge of their seats.

Meanwhile, Günther Jauch will return with new episodes of "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?" on September 15, 2025. The audience will determine if there can be more than one quiz king at RTL or if Jauch will continue to be the dominant quiz host.

Another quiz show format that RTL tested was "Smarter Than Everyone. Beat Germany?", which will be hosted by Hazel Brugger in the coming months. The show's concept is similar to "7 Right Answers - The Quiz of the Know-It-Alls," but with a focus on pitting contestants against each other to see who is the smartest in Germany.

Steffen Hallaschka and Günther Jauch are both tall, slim men who have mastered the balance between seriousness and lightness in hosting. Daniel Hartwich and Sonja Zietlow, who hosted "The Perfect Row" and "Smarter Than Everyone. Beat Germany?", respectively, also brought their unique styles to the shows.

With the debut of "7 Right Answers - The Quiz of the Know-It-Alls" on September 1, 2025, the battle for quiz show supremacy on RTL is heating up. Tune in to see who will rise to the top and become the new quiz king.
