Ferrari's Struggles Continue as Leclerc Misses Out on Podium in Hungarian Grand Prix

Charles Leclerc, the Monegasque driver for Ferrari, started the Hungarian Formula 1 race from pole position but faced a significant performance loss in the final stint, causing him to miss out on a podium finish.

Leclerc led the race for a significant amount of time, but technical issues and a less-than-optimal car setup marred his chances of a victory. Ferrari, who had high hopes for a podium finish, saw their plans ruined as a result.

After the race, Leclerc described the Hungarian Grand Prix as a missed opportunity for Ferrari. The team has announced further investigations to determine the exact cause of the performance loss.

Adjustments made to Ferrari's car during the race may have saved them from disqualification but impaired performance. Leclerc chose not to disclose further details about the issues that affected his performance.

Meanwhile, George Russell, the Mercedes driver, openly shared his opinion about Ferrari's struggles. He suspected that Ferrari's car setup issues during the race might have been due to an excessively low car setting, requiring adjustments to tire pressure during the last pit stop.

Despite the challenges faced by Ferrari, Leclerc remains optimistic. He stated that the situation is more complex than Russell portrayed and that Ferrari is on the right track. Recent parts brought after Spa have allowed the team to fine-tune the car better and gradually extract more performance race by race.

Looking ahead to the Dutch Grand Prix, Leclerc qualified for the race in sixth place, while Russell starts from fifth. The McLarens are expected to perform well in the race, making opportunities for pole positions even rarer.

Leclerc's performance in the Dutch Grand Prix qualifying was less optimal compared to the Hungarian Grand Prix. The Ferrari team will be hoping for a strong comeback in the race to secure a much-needed podium finish.
