Rain Cloud-Inspired 'Stratus' Bag Collection Unveiled by Côte&Ciel
Côte&Ciel Collaborates with Art Director and Photographer Gabriele Rosati for A/W 2025 Collection
In an exciting creative collaboration, Parisian bag brand Côte&Ciel has teamed up with Milan-based architect Alberto Simoni of Aspro Studio and art director and photographer Gabriele Rosati. The result is the installation and editorial titled 'Soft Sculptures', a visual narrative that explores contrasting compositions, from solid to fluid, structure to malleability.
The new collection, named 'Stratus', is inspired by stratus clouds and features three new additions: the 'Yalu' backpack, the 'Minho' duffle bag, and the 'Uva' crossbody bag. All these new bags are available in Côte&Ciel's signature 'carbon black' material, which captures the essence of the stratus clouds. Additionally, they are available in new seasonal fabrics and colours, including 'cargo green', 'slate grey', and 'onyx black'.
Gabriele Rosati aims to convey the sensation of something alive within his photographs, and in this collaboration, he hopes to have documented and honoured the feeling of being embraced, similar to welcoming someone into one's home. He strives to ensure that viewers can physically imagine the softness of the new bag materials.
The 'Yalu' backpack, with its cocoon-like shape, is a standout piece in the collection. It shares many passions with its creators, including sculpture, fashion, and football. The 'Minho' duffle bag, on the other hand, is a weekend essential, perfect for those short getaways. The 'Uva' crossbody bag, featuring a drawstring closure, offers a stylish and practical option for everyday use.
Côte&Ciel is renowned for its travel and design focus, often adapting to the shape of the wearer's body. This focus is evident in the new collection, with the bags designed to complement and enhance the wearer's style.
The A/W 2025 collection from Côte&Ciel is available globally on their website, in their stores worldwide, and at selected retailers. Embrace the essence of stratus clouds and the softness of the new bags by adding these stylish pieces to your wardrobe today.
According to Rosati, empathy is the foundation of their work. He and Simoni share many passions, and this collaboration felt natural and immediate. Through their shared vision, they have created a collection that is not just a group of bags, but true works of art.
