Ramped-up Finance Allotted for Climate Advisory Services

In an effort to address the challenges posed by climate change, a series of subsidized climate consultations are now available for businesses and institutions in Baden-Württemberg. Funded by the European Union, the federal and state governments, and several local initiatives, these consultations focus on developing short-, medium-, and long-term adaptation options for animal and plant production.

The consultations, offered by approved advisory organizations, provide comprehensive assessments and advice tailored to individual companies or institutions. This includes CO₂ footprint analysis, identification of emission reduction potentials, support for implementing renewable energy use, energy efficiency improvements, and guidance on compliance with climate-related regulations and funding opportunities.

The consultations align with Baden-Württemberg’s climate protection goals and laws, supporting the practical implementation of adaptation strategies and renewable energy expansion mandates defined in the state climate law.

During the consultation, the operational starting situation is recorded, and operational-specific measures for climate protection are developed, accompanied, and evaluated. These measures can include strategies for potential extreme weather events and measures for adapting to climate change.

Soil conservation and sustainable carbon binding play a central role in the consultation process. The nine approved consulting organizations for subsidized climate consulting in Baden-Württemberg are listed online, along with their contact details, names of consultants, hourly fee rates, and further information on "Consulting for the Future of the Countryside".

The funding rate for climate consulting will be increased from 85% to 95% of net costs for consulting contracts concluded on or after September 1, 2025. To book a consultation, simply contact number 274.

For more information or questions, the Ministry of Food, Rural Affairs and Consumer Protection can be contacted via their Press Office or Citizen's Representative. The subsidized climate consultation is a valuable resource for businesses and institutions in Baden-Württemberg seeking to adapt to the challenges of climate change and expand their use of renewable energy.
