Rapid pharmacy service Zepto Pharmacy launched by Zepto, offering medicine delivery in an astonishingly quick 10 minutes.

Zepto, the quick commerce unicorn, has recently entered the epharmacy race with the launch of Zepto Pharmacy. The new service, which promises 10-minute delivery of medicines, is set to make important medicines more accessible and improve the lives of millions.

The team behind Zepto Pharmacy has spent the last 12 months perfecting its operations before rolling out the service in select areas of Mumbai, Bengaluru, Delhi-NCR, and Hyderabad. The focus has been on perfecting customer experience, supply chain logistics, and regulatory compliance.

Aadit Palicha, the co-founder and CEO of Zepto, has led this initiative. His goal is to keep operational standards high and not scale too rapidly, ensuring a smooth and efficient service for customers.

Zepto's move into the epharmacy sector coincides with a period of rapid financial growth for the Mumbai-based company. In FY25, Zepto's revenue surged 150% to Rs 11,110 crore, up from Rs 4,454 crore in FY24.

This entry into the epharmacy market comes at an opportune time. India's epharmacy market is projected to become a $12.7 billion opportunity by 2033. Companies like Tata 1mg and Apollo 24/7 are already testing rapid delivery models, while newer entrants like Plazza and Farmako are offering 30-minute fulfillment in urban centers.

Interestingly, just days prior, Blinkit began piloting its own prescription medicine delivery in parts of Bengaluru. Meanwhile, PhonePe's Pincode app and Flipkart are reportedly exploring pharmacy integrations with SastaSundar. Swiggy's Instamart also reportedly inked a partnership with PharmEasy last year.

As Zepto Pharmacy expands, it aims to improve access to essential medicines and contribute to the growth of the epharmacy market in India. With its focus on operational excellence and customer experience, Zepto Pharmacy is poised to make a significant impact in the industry.
