Rauma emerges victorious against the Bears.

The Berlin Polar Bears faced a tough challenge against the Finnish top team Lukko Rauma in the Champions Hockey League (CHL), ultimately losing with a score of 2:6. The game, played in front of a sold-out steel-roofed arena with 4,227 spectators, saw the Berlin Polar Bears struggle to find their rhythm in the early stages.

The Finnish team dominated the opening minutes with strong running and two-on-one play. Steven Jandric scored the first goal for Lukko Rauma in the fifth minute, and Eric Gelinas increased their lead to 2:0 in the 13th minute.

The Berlin Polar Bears managed to score their first goal of the game in the 20th minute, thanks to Ty Ronning, who scored a power play goal 41 seconds before the first break. However, the Finnish team responded with three unanswered goals in the second period, scored by Antoine Morand, Anton Olsson, and Jakob Stenqvist.

In an attempt to turn the tide, Jake Hildebrand replaced Jonas Stettmer in goal for the Berlin Polar Bears. Yet, the Finnish team scored their sixth goal despite the change, with Stenqvist finding the back of the net again in the 41st minute.

The Berlin Polar Bears managed to score once more in the 34th minute, with Andreas Eder finding the net. Eder then scored the final goal for the home team in the 44th minute, but it was not enough to catch up with the Finnish team.

The defeat marks the Berlin Polar Bears' second loss in the third main round game of the European ice hockey cup. The coach of Lukko Rauma, Tomi Lämsä, will no doubt be pleased with his team's performance, while the Berlin Polar Bears will look to regroup and improve in their next game.
