Bochum Police Seek Public's Help in Identifying Fraud Suspect

The Bochum Police in Germany are actively investigating a fraud incident that occurred on October 23, 2024. The incident involved an 85-year-old man from Bad Schwartau, Schleswig-Holstein, who received fraudulent calls from someone claiming to be a bank employee.

During the call, the suspect managed to obtain the 85-year-old's Push-TAN, and on the following day, October 24, 2024, the suspect used the victim's account to make unauthorized purchases in several stores in Bochum. These purchases were captured on surveillance cameras in the city.
