Bochum Police Seek Public Assistance in Identifying Fraud Suspect

The Bochum Police in Germany are asking for the public's help in identifying a suspect wanted for fraudulent activities. The suspect is believed to have committed illegal activities in Bochum on October 24, 2024.

On October 23, an 85-year-old man from Bad Schwartau, Schleswig-Holstein, received a fraudulent call from someone posing as a bank employee. The fraudulent caller obtained the victim's Push-TAN, a one-time password used for online banking transactions.

The following day, on October 24, the suspect made several illegal purchases in Bochum stores using the victim's account via smartphone. The suspect was filmed by surveillance cameras during these transactions.
