In a move to make their cars more affordable, Renault India and Tata Motors have announced price cuts for several of their models. The reductions come as a result of the new GST regime, aiming to energize demand during the festive season.

Renault, with its mission to deliver innovation, value, and trust to every Indian household, has reduced prices for the base versions of the Renault Kwid, Renault Kiger, and Renault Triber. The exact price reductions for each model were not specified, but the Renault Kwid now starts from ₹4.30 lakh and goes up to ₹5.90 lakh. The Renault Kiger starts at ₹5.76 lakh on the base trim, while the top trim is now priced at ₹10.34 lakh. The Renault Triber, now priced from ₹5.76 lakh onwards, has seen a price cut of ₹53,695 on the base trim and ₹80,195 on the top-spec model.

Venkatram Mamillapalle, Managing Director of Renault India, stated that this initiative is a reflection of their commitment to customers. Renault India aims to make their cars more accessible, hoping to attract more customers during the festive season.

Tata Motors, on the other hand, has passed GST cut benefits and has slashed prices across its range by up to ₹1.55 lakh. The Tata Punch, priced at ₹6.20 lakhs, is expected to see a price adjustment in its facelift version, which is expected to be priced between ₹6 - 11 lakhs.

The automotive market in India is becoming increasingly competitive, with new models and price cuts being announced regularly. The Hyundai Exter is priced at ₹6.21 lakhs, while the Citroen C3 is available for ₹5.25 lakhs. The Citroen C3X, a more premium offering, retails at ₹7.91 lakhs.

These price reductions and new offerings are expected to bring fresh excitement to the Indian automotive market, providing customers with more choices and better value for their money.
