Reflecting on half a decade of transitions: reassessing the trajectory of employment landscape
The Global Workplace of the Future (GWoF) report, now in its fifth iteration, has returned with a comprehensive analysis of the challenges leaders face in adapting to the rapidly evolving world of work. Authored by Alistair Rennie, IBM's Vice President for Workforce Ecosystem, and his team, the report gathers perspectives from worker interviews across 25 countries over the last five years.
The report highlights the importance of leaders making decisions based on the day's data in the absence of a blueprint for the future. With the unprecedented transformation the world of work has witnessed over the past five years, including the rise of remote work, the Great Resignation, and Generative AI (Artificial Intelligence), leaders, if they could travel back in time to their organization at the start of 2020, would face difficulty explaining the upcoming profound changes.
The GWoF report provides leaders with tools for future-proofing the workforce. It covers topics such as the rise of remote work, the Great Resignation, and Generative AI, offering insights and strategies for navigating these challenges.
Organizations and their people have been tested in novel ways, requiring leaders to adapt, pivot, and anticipate. The report emphasizes the need for leaders to be agile and responsive, able to make informed decisions quickly and effectively.
Registration for the GWoF 2024 launch webinar is open. The event will take place on 17 October, providing an opportunity for leaders to gain a deeper understanding of the report's findings and insights. The GWoF 2024 report will be available for download as soon as it goes live.
Since its first publication, the GWoF report has provided key insights, helping leaders navigate the ever-changing landscape of the world of work. The report serves as a valuable resource for organizations seeking to future-proof their workforce and adapt to the challenges of the future.
