Saxony begins involvement in a fresh state development strategy - Region initiates entry into fresh regional growth initiative

The Saxon government has announced plans to shape the future of the region with the development of a new State Development Plan (LEP) during the current legislative period. Regina Kraushaar, Minister for Infrastructure and State Development, expressed her vision to work together with municipalities, specialist authorities, and associations to achieve this goal.

The collaboration is intended to be a collective effort, with each entity bringing their unique expertise and insights to the table. The Saxon government invites all involved parties to participate in the creation of the new State Development Plan.

Citizens and public institutions are encouraged to share their ongoing or planned measures and time schedules for the new State Development Plan via the Saxon participation portal. The deadline for these submissions is set for October 12.

The Saxon participation portal serves as the platform for all contributions related to the new State Development Plan. It is where the ongoing or planned measures and time schedules of various entities will be collected and collated.

The coordinator of the project for the new state development plan in Saxony, which is to be created during this legislative period, is yet to be named. However, the focus remains on ensuring a comprehensive and collaborative approach to shaping Saxony's future together.

Minister Kraushaar's statement underscores the importance of this initiative, emphasizing the need for a unified effort to shape the future of Saxony. The new State Development Plan is expected to be presented by the Saxon government in the coming months, reflecting the collective vision and aspirations of the region's inhabitants and stakeholders.
