Regulations for proper management of private parking areas

The Code of Practice will contain guidance about good practice in the operation and management of private parking facilities, including appeals against private parking charges. Views from various stakeholders are especially invited in this public consultation, including landowners, those who represent the interests of motorists, the parking industry, businesses involved in debt recovery, and car park users.
The Regulatory Policy Committee has already published their opinion on the private parking code of practice options assessment. The consultation aims to gather feedback on this proposed Code of Practice, with the ultimate goal of improving standards in the private parking industry in the UK.
This consultation provides an opportunity for all interested parties to have their say and contribute to the development of a fair and effective Code of Practice for the private parking sector.
