Remains discovered in Naperville's forest preserve confirmed to be that of a missing mother of four
Naperville Community Mourns the Loss of Local Actress Olasinmibo "Sinmi" Adunni Abosede
The Naperville community is in mourning following the discovery of the body of Olasinmibo "Sinmi" Adunni Abosede, a well-known Nigerian actress, in the Springbrook Prairie Forest Preserve on August 14.
Abosede, 46, was reported missing two weeks prior to her body being found. The disappearance occurred near her Naperville home, and at the time, she left behind her phone and other personal belongings, leading Naperville police to suspect that foul play was not involved in her case.
The identification of Abosede was made through dental records, and the cause and manner of her death are still pending. The Naperville Police Department has not released any further information regarding the investigation.
Abosede was primarily known for her work as an actress and had not been publicly noted for any other profession. Her family has expressed their gratitude for the community's support during the difficult times since her disappearance.
In a statement released by the coroner's office on behalf of the family, they asked for privacy as they grieve their loss. The family has also thanked the Naperville Police Department for their efforts in the investigation and for their sensitivity during this difficult time.
