In a groundbreaking collaboration, Polestar and Abbey Road Studios, along with Bowers & Wilkins, have introduced Abbey Road Studios Mode in the Polestar 3. This innovative in-car listening experience offers a unique sonic journey, featuring four distinct presets and a producer mode for customisation.
The four presets include Intimate, Expansive, Open, and Energised, each designed to cater to different moods and preferences. The co-development of Abbey Road Studios Mode was a joint effort between Abbey Road and Bowers & Wilkins, renowned for their expertise in audio technology and music production.
Two new tracks were created specifically for this project. Jon Hopkins, a respected composer and producer, was tasked with crafting pieces for the Intimate and Expansive presets. Hopkins' subtle, contemplative piece for the Intimate preset, with its intimate and personal feel, is a perfect fit for quieter drives. On the other hand, his Expansive track, which feels both vast and personal, aims to embody the sound of Studio Two at Abbey Road Studios and offers a more immersive listening experience.
Corto.alto, a rising jazz star, also spent a day in Studio Two at Abbey Road Studios reimagining two of his tracks to showcase the unique sonic characteristics of Abbey Road Studios Mode in Polestar 3. These reimagined tracks, designed to highlight the depth of the new in-car listening experience, add another layer of excitement to the Polestar 3's audio offering.
Polestar's commitment to performance, style, and innovation is further demonstrated through its Polestar portraits. These portraits feature collaborations with professional athletes and artists, such as Demi Vollering and Kevin Love. Vollering, a professional cyclist, showcases a pure commitment to speed and performance in everything she does, while Love invites readers into his world and distinctive approach to life, where performance, well-being, and creativity are in perfect balance.
The Abbey Road Studios over-the-air music update in the Polestar 3 was created by Mirek Stiles, a composer who has worked with some of the most influential artists in the industry. For Jon Hopkins, this project was unique, offering a chance to work in the legendary Studio Two at Abbey Road Studios, an experience he found surreal and wonderful.
With the launch of Abbey Road Studios Mode in Polestar 3, the vehicle now offers an unparalleled in-car audio experience, setting a new standard for luxury electric vehicles.
