Reports Emerging from Lake District around PP Ravensburg
In a series of events that transpired this week, several incidents were reported across the Lake Constance region, resulting in property damage, thefts, and near misses.
On Thursday morning at approximately 9:45 AM, a toddler fell out of a moving vehicle on Ailinger Straße in Friedrichshafen. The driver, a 60-year-old man, was travelling with an APE (All-Purpose Vehicle) and had not secured his daughter. The incident occurred during a botched passing maneuver, as the Skoda driver failed to notice an oncoming Mercedes. Fortunately, no one was injured, but the toddler was run over by the vehicle and was taken to a clinic for examination of minor injuries.
In a separate incident, a traffic accident occurred on Klufterner Straße in Friedrichshafen at approximately 5:20 PM on the same day. Details about the incident are not provided, but it is known that no one was injured.
Meanwhile, in Meersburg, two high-end Pedelecs worth approximately €10,000 were stolen from in front of the Therme on the Seepromenade between 2:45 PM and 5:45 PM on Wednesday. The perpetrators took the connected blue mountain bikes, Mondraker Chaser R Fully, along with the apparently cut lock.
On the same day, a smoke incident was reported at Max-Planck-Weg in Friedrichshafen at approximately 9:15 AM. The smoke was caused by a cigarette of a seemingly confused caller. No fire was found upon the arrival of the fire department, police, and emergency services.
In another incident on Thursday, tricksters stole jewelry worth several thousand euros from a senior in Überlingen around 12:15 PM. The seniors' apartment was entered by claiming they needed to read the heating meter. The thieves spoke broken German and used a clipboard. The police are investigating the case and are seeking witnesses. The man is described as approximately 30 years old, with short black hair, dark clothing, and the woman is estimated to be between 25 and 30 years old, wearing a white blouse with a dark vest.
The press spokesperson (Pressesprecher) of the Polizeipräsidium Ravensburg is Oliver Weissflog, and he is available for further information regarding these incidents. The accidents involved a 60-year-old Skoda driver and a 65-year-old woman driving a Mercedes. The cars grazed each other, causing approximately €25,000 in damage. The speed of the vehicle at the time of the incident is currently unknown.
