In a series of recent events, several incidents have been reported across various local areas in the region.

Road Accident and DUI Charge

A collision occurred on the A96 near Humbrechts just after 10 am on Thursday. The driver of a motorhome lightly hit a 49-year-old's vehicle on a parking lot, causing approximately €500 worth of damage. During the accident investigation, officers noticed clear signs of substance use in the 49-year-old. A drug test on the driver came back positive for cocaine, leading to the prohibition of further driving and the order for a blood sample to be taken at a hospital. The 49-year-old will now be prosecuted.

Thefts and Break-ins

An 89-year-old woman had over 2,000 euros in cash and several bank statements stolen from her car on Thursday morning in Wangen. The perpetrators gained access to the building through a back door and found an unlocked safe in an open office. Witnesses of the theft in Wangen are asked to contact the police.

Unknown perpetrators broke into a company building in Edensbach and stole a safe containing cash in the night from Wednesday to Thursday. No further details about the incident were provided in the article.

Vandalism

It is believed that the thieves in Wangen may have taken the safe with the cash and presumably transported it using a vehicle. The police are following up on initial leads about a dark-clothed man, approximately 170 cm tall, in his late 50s, clean-shaven with little hair, in connection to the theft in Wangen.

The unknown driver who was involved in the collision on the Audi Cabriolet in Baindter Street presumably scratched the rear right fender of the car while exiting their parking spot and drove off without leaving their contact information.
