Fire on Klauberger Straße in Solingen: Residents Evacuated, Building Uninhabitable

A fire broke out at a residential building on Klauberger Straße in Solingen at 12:00 PM on Tuesday. Upon arrival, all residents had safely evacuated the three-story building, but thick smoke was billowing from all windows.

The fire department quickly sprang into action, deploying a total of 5 teams in heavy breathing apparatus with 3 C-hoses. These teams were tasked with firefighting and ventilation measures. The wooden beam ceilings in the affected room were opened to aid in further extinguishing efforts.

However, since all doors in the building were open, the smoke could initially spread uncontrolled throughout the building. The surrounding area was heavily smoky due to the fire. A support point was set up at a fire rescue vehicle for the uninjured residents.

The fire was located in the living room on the ground floor of the building. The fire department did not provide information about the current status of the fire or any injuries or casualties. The power in the entire building was turned off by the city utilities.

The fire department is investigating the cause of the fire, and the criminal police are also involved in the investigation. The cause of the smoke billowing from all windows of the building is not yet clear. The fire department did not provide information about the extent of the damage to the building beyond the ground floor.

As a result, the building is currently uninhabitable. The residents are being taken in by family members. The fire department continues to monitor the situation and will provide updates as more information becomes available.
