An 18-year-old individual is currently under investigation for two separate incidents, one of which involves assaulting a patrol unit and the theft of a phone.

The first incident occurred at the Lahr Police Station around 5:30 PM. The suspect, who is yet to be identified, strongly resisted the search conducted by officers, leading to an act of resistance against the patrol unit. As a result, the officers sustained minor injuries. The suspect refused to return the stolen phone when asked by officers, and the device has not been recovered as of the latest update.

The suspect is also being investigated for harassing a 14-year-old girl in Biermannstraße. The investigation regarding this incident is ongoing. The suspect remains in custody for the ongoing investigation.

The head of the Polizeidirektion Offenburg involved in the investigation is not explicitly mentioned, but it is known that Felix Neulinger took over as head of the Polizeirevier Rastatt within the Polizeipräsidium Offenburg as of August 1, 2025.
