Return of Conscious Boutique at Momad 2025, showcasing top eco-friendly fashion goods
At the heart of Madrid, the prestigious MOMAD fashion event is set to host "La Boutique Consciente" – a curated gallery showcasing eco-friendly fashion pieces that reflect the growing global movement towards sustainable and socially responsible fashion.
The gallery, curated by Belvis Soler, founder of 001.Agency and co-founder of an unspecified platform, is defined by five criteria: Circular Innovation, Transparency and Ethics, Natural Materials, High Craftsmanship, and Social Impact.
One of the brands represented is Ildhorit, which creates timeless pieces handmade by local seamstresses, using eco-responsible materials like organic cotton and recycled polyester. The brand's focus on sustainability is echoed by Lúa Swimwear, whose swimsuit is paired with a towel by Island Soulmates, both made from recycled plastic bottles (GRS certification).
Sustainability is also at the forefront for brands like Surkana, which reinforces their environmental responsibility by applying sustainable practices and prioritizing natural and recycled fabrics. Susan Pinto, another brand showcased, respects nature and traditional craftsmanship, with each print hand-drawn and organic cotton and natural silk garments made in a small workshop in New Delhi.
Julise Magon and Eva Otoño are two other brands that prioritize sustainability by using premium fabric remnants and creating collections that give new life to pre-existing materials. Both responsibly manufacture in family-led women's workshops, with Eva Otoño using recycled textiles and committing to conscious and sustainable fashion.
Star Love, a brand producing espadrilles entirely in their own factory in La Rioja, Spain, promotes fair work and eco-friendly production. Dando un Paseo, another brand showcased, produces ethical fashion in artisan workshops and family-owned businesses in India, and donates a portion of its profits to social projects in India and Spain.
Arte y Tejido empowers over 150 artisans in Colombia by creating fique bags, while Derive af Buren empowers women, tells stories, and keeps traditional textile crafts alive. Morena Toro, a brand showcased in La Boutique Consciente, uses ancestral Paraguayan techniques for hand-embroidered cotton gauze tunics and kimonos, and practices creative waste reduction.
Designers and brands such as Ecoalf, Thinking Mu, and Veja will also be represented at the "La Boutique Consciente" exhibition at MOMAD Madrid 2025. The Conscious Boutique invites visitors to admire collections, support creators, and reflect on ethical, circular, and socially committed fashion.
Tony Bonet Adlib's collections are characterized by rich and high-quality fabrics, crafted entirely by hand. Elemente Clemente's collections present fluid silhouettes designed to emphasize the individuality of the wearer, using responsibly selected materials and low-water digital printing.
La Boutique Consciente's guiding principles are "Explore. Inspire. Support change." It is a testament to the growing global movement towards sustainable and socially responsible fashion, and a call to action for the fashion industry to embrace these principles.
