Revealed Note on Trump's Birthday Belonging to Epstein by House Committee
In a shocking turn of events, the Republican-controlled US House Oversight Committee has published a lewd birthday letter allegedly written by Donald Trump to Jeffrey Epstein in 2003. The letter, containing a dialogue between Trump and Epstein, was part of a book compiled by Epstein's associate Ghislaine Maxwell for his fiftieth birthday.
The existence of the book and letter was previously reported by The Wall Street Journal in July. According to the book, described by Joel Pashcow in 2003, it includes a letter from Donald Trump and was published by Jeffrey Epstein's estate, with contributions compiled by Ghislaine Maxwell. The book was released publicly by the GOP-led House Oversight Committee in 2025.
The letter, which refers to a woman who was courted by both Trump and Epstein in the 1990s, has caused a stir due to its explicit content. The dialogue between Trump and Epstein is replaced with Trump's signature taking the place of pubic hair on the nude outline of a woman in the letter.
The White House denies the authenticity of the letter, with Karoline Leavitt, Press Secretary, stating that President Donald Trump did not draw the picture or sign it. Trump's legal team has also promised to continue litigation against The Wall Street Journal over their initial report.
The committee subpoenaed the book and other documents from Epstein's estate as part of its investigation into the handling of Epstein's sex crimes case. Ghislaine Maxwell, an Epstein associate, was interviewed by Trump's former personal lawyer, Todd Blanche, as part of the investigation.
The Republican-controlled Oversight Committee has also subpoenaed Justice Department documents and testimony from high-ranking officials, including former president Bill Clinton. However, Democrats on the panel have accused the committee of "cherry-picking documents and politicising information," publishing the copy of the Trump letter before the entire book was released.
Trump's supporters believe that "deep state" elites were protecting a sex ring of Epstein associates, particularly in the Democratic Party and Hollywood. However, the FBI and Justice Department stated in July that Epstein had committed suicide, did not blackmail any prominent figures, and did not keep a "client list."
Jeffrey Epstein, a wealthy financier, was found dead in his New York jail cell in 2019, awaiting trial for alleged sex trafficking. The controversy surrounding the Trump letter and the Epstein book continues to unfold, adding another layer to the complex and ongoing investigation.
