Rhön-Grabfeld: VHS Introduces Permanent Program and Autumn/Winter Semester Discounts
Volkshochschule Rhoen-Grabfeld Announces New Semester with Enhanced Digital Offerings
The Volkshochschule Rhoen-Grabfeld gGmbH is gearing up for the autumn/winter semester, starting on September 6, 2025. This semester marks a significant shift in the institution's approach, as it transitions from a semester cycle to a continuous annual program, effective from January 2026.
This new program brings about a plethora of changes, including the introduction of a year-round, constantly growing online offer. Interested individuals can now find the complete online offer, as well as the offers in the printed brochure, at www.die-vhs.de.
One of the key highlights of the new program is the inclusion of digital courses on various topics such as smartphones, AI, and useful apps. Additionally, the program offers creative and movement-oriented formats like watercolor painting, children's hip-hop, climbing courses, and study trips.
To facilitate a smooth transition to the digital offer, the VHS team will conduct free workshops at all three locations - Mellrichstadt, Bad Neustadt, and Bad Königshofen - on designated dates in October and November. Registration in person remains possible during these workshops.
For those who prefer a more traditional learning environment, workshops will include both daytime and evening sessions. The program also continues to offer the training to become a bike tour guide in the autumn/winter semester.
The discount system has also been adjusted for the autumn/winter semester. Residents of VHS network municipalities are now eligible for a 10% shareholder discount. Ehrenamtskarte and Fördervereinsmitglieder holders will each receive a 20% discount for the semester. These discounts can be combined, offering a potential savings of 15%.
Moreover, there is a 5% discount for online bookings for the autumn/winter semester. This discount can be combined with the resident discount, providing even more savings for eligible individuals.
The program brochure for the autumn/winter semester will be delivered to residents' mailboxes. For those who prefer to browse at their own pace, the brochure, along with many other courses, can be found online.
Interested parties can also drop by without registration to see how simple online booking is. Popular game afternoons will also be included to foster encounters and integration.
The new program also includes various language courses, including English and Nigerian. The search results do not provide specific information about the municipalities that belong to the VHS network and are eligible for the 10% resident discount.
