In an exciting development for smart car technology, Rivian has announced that their Gen 2 vehicles, the R1S SUV and R1T pickup, will be compatible with Apple's Car Key feature. This means that owners of these vehicles can control and secure their cars using their Apple devices.

The digital key, a key feature of Apple Car Key, will offer a secure and convenient way to access and operate the Gen 2 Rivian vehicles. It is designed to work seamlessly with Apple and Android devices, allowing for key sharing and remote start of the vehicle. The key can be stored in an Apple or Android wallet, providing a convenient and secure method of carrying your car key.

The digital key utilizes native wireless technology and OS-level security in devices from Apple, Google, and Samsung.
