Road closure on Neuburger Street for necessary maintenance work
Neuburger Straße residents and motorists should be prepared for a series of maintenance works and renovations taking place in the coming weeks. The works are scheduled to begin on Monday, 12th May 2025, and are expected to last until Thursday evening, 15th May 2025.
The maintenance work on the water supply system will commence at 8:30 AM on the 12th. Unfortunately, the names of the five construction teams involved have not been disclosed. However, residents affected by temporary water outages have been notified in advance via door-to-door flyers.
The water supply maintenance work is planned to end on Thursday, 15th May 2025. During this period, over 4,000 square meters of milling and asphalt work will be carried out as part of the patchwork asphalt repair. Heavy-duty asphalt concrete will be used for this purpose.
Neuburger Straße will remain open in both directions during the asphalt works. However, motorists are advised to avoid the affected area, particularly during morning rush hour, due to expected traffic disruptions. The right lane heading into town from Neuburger Straße 143 (near AVP) to Neuburger Straße 97 (near DEZ) will be closed during the repair works.
A small-scale renovation will follow the water supply maintenance work, starting from 19th May 2025. This renovation will be carried out between Schönleitnerweg and Danziger Straße. As part of the renovation project, roadside drainage channels, water supply valve covers, fire hydrant covers, and gas supply valve covers will also be replaced.
The renovation work will be conducted on several nights between 8:00 PM and 6:00 AM to minimise disruptions. Preparations for the renovation work have already begun and are expected to continue until approximately 16th May 2025.
The renovation work involves repairing ten damage points on gas house connections, water main lines, and underground hydrants. Five construction teams will be used for the repair works. The exact details of their schedules have not been disclosed at this time.
