Road incident in Dresden leaves two people hurt
Severe Traffic Accident in Kaitz: 42-Year-Old Driver Injured
A serious traffic accident occurred on Stuttgarter Street, Kaitz, on August 21, 2025. The incident involved two cars of the type VW and took place between 07:21 and 09:00 AM.
According to reports, a 42-year-old man driving one of the vehicles suffered severe injuries. The driver was initially cared for on the sidewalk before being treated by a doctor, the emergency service team, and fire department personnel. He was then taken to a hospital.
The 55-year-old driver of the overturned car was slightly injured. Fire department personnel treated him at the scene before he was transported to a hospital by ambulance. One of the vehicles overturned onto its left side.
A total of 36 personnel from the fire and rescue stations Albertstadt and Altstadt, the B-service, and the local fire department Kaitz were involved in the operation. The accident site has since been handed over to the police for investigation.
During the operation, there were significant traffic disruptions in the area of the accident, also affecting public transport. Among those affected by the traffic disruptions were schoolchildren who were on their way to school by bus. They could not continue their journey initially.
