In the past week, several accidents have occurred in the region, leading to damage and injuries. The local police are appealing for witnesses to come forward with any information that could aid their investigations.

On Friday afternoon, a 78-year-old VW driver was involved in a collision with a 15-year-old pedestrian on Haller Straße in Kirchberg. The teenager sustained severe injuries and was taken to a hospital. The cause of the accident is still under investigation.

In a separate incident, a 47-year-old Opel driver caused damage to a Renault Megane and a BMW while parking under the influence of alcohol and without a valid driver's license in Gerabronn. The man was detected with a strong smell of alcohol during a conversation with the police and had to undergo a blood test after the accident investigation. Subsequent tests revealed over 1.8 promille, leading to further investigations.

On Saturday, another Opel driver, aged 54, was found to have 2.1 promille during an alcohol test after damaging a Renault on a parking lot in Schrozberg. The man left the scene of the accident but was later located by the police. He was taken to a hospital for a blood test, and the police have confirmed that he will now have to answer for driving under the influence.

The police in Fichtenau are also investigating an accident on Sunday morning on the A7 between Ellwangen and Dinkelsbühl, caused by a 22-year-old driver's fatigue. Damage from the accident was approximately 3,500 euros.

On Sunday afternoon, there was a road closure and a significant traffic jam on the A7 near Fichtenau due to loose road markings. The markings caused several thousand euros worth of damage to three passing vehicles, one of which was no longer roadworthy.

In a less serious incident, a 53-year-old man crashed his E-Scooter on Salinenstraße in Aalen, sustaining minor injuries.

Between 13:45 and 18:15 on Saturday, an unknown individual damaged a parked Audi A3 on a parking lot in the Hofwiesenstraße in Crailsheim.
