Robotic Mobility Systems developer, Wandercraft, secures $75 million in Series D funding

Wandercraft, a pioneering French company specializing in robotics and exoskeleton technology, has secured a significant funding boost of $75 million in its Series D round. This funding round, which includes contributions from Renault Group, PSIM fund, Bpifrance, Teampact Ventures, Quadrant Management, LBO France, Mutuelles Impact, Cemag Invest, Martagon Capital, and AG2R LA MONDIALE, will propel Wandercraft's mission to transform how people live, move, and work.

Renault Group, with its extensive industrial expertise, will play a crucial role in scaling up the production of Wandercraft's exoskeletons and industrial robots. This strategic partnership also includes a minority stake ownership by Renault Group.

The funding will accelerate the commercial deployment of Wandercraft's flagship product, Eve, the world's first self-balancing personal exoskeleton, which is expected to hit the market as early as 2026. The new funding will also help make the Eve exoskeleton accessible to a larger number of people, as stated by Paul-François Fournier, Executive Director of Bpifrance Innovation.

In addition to Eve, the funding will aid in the industrial development and rollout of Calvin-40, an industrial-grade robot developed by Wandercraft, intended for physically demanding tasks. Calvin-40, the first humanoid robot developed by a European company, was made possible through Wandercraft's rapid development process and an existing, leading-edge robotics platform integrated with NVIDIA Isaac technologies.

The funding will also be used to expand clinical adoption of Wandercraft's flagship rehabilitation system, Atalante X. Access to health and mobility for all is a strategic focus supported by the French State through the France 2030 plan, as mentioned by Paul-François Fournier.

Matthieu Masselin, CEO and Co-founder of Wandercraft, reiterated the company's mission: "Our mission is to transform how people live, move, and work across rehabilitation, home environments, and factory floors."

With the support of its new partners, Wandercraft is set to accelerate the industrial deployment of its unique robotics technology, bringing innovative solutions to the fields of rehabilitation, personal mobility, and industrial automation.
