Rock legends Radiohead set for Berlin performances in Germany.
Radiohead and The Smile Return to Germany for Four Concerts
British rock band Radiohead is set to make a comeback to Germany this winter, playing four concerts in Berlin, Madrid, Bologna, and Copenhagen. The announcement comes after a seven-year hiatus, during which drummer Philip Selway announced the band's reunion.
The concerts, scheduled for December 8, 9, 11, and 12, will take place at the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Berlin. Registrations for tickets start on September 5 at 11:00 AM CET, and fans must register on the official band website to secure their spots.
Radiohead gained worldwide fame in the 90s with hits like "Karma Police" and "Creep." The band, known for their experimental style and innovative approach to music, is now joined by a new project, The Smile. The Smile, formed by Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood, along with jazz drummer Tom Skinner, blends jazz, rock, and electronic music influences.
The Smile had planned European concerts in July 2024, but they were canceled due to Jonny Greenwood's health issues. However, Radiohead's reunion concerts are not affected by his illness. Jonny Greenwood is also a member of both Radiohead and The Smile.
The Smile's formation in 2022 marked a new chapter for the band members. Radiohead's rehearsal for fun rekindled their musical identity, leading to the announcement of these upcoming concerts. The band's return to Germany is a testament to their enduring popularity and influence in the music industry.
Registrations for the concerts close after 72 hours, and the actual ticket sale will begin on September 12. Fans eager to catch Radiohead and The Smile live should not miss this opportunity to witness these iconic bands in action.
