Roku Appoints Lisa Holme as Head of Content
Lisa Holme, a seasoned executive with a two-decade background in the streaming industry, has been appointed as the Head of Content at Roku. Holme will assume her new role on September 8, based in Santa Monica.
Holme's responsibilities at Roku will include managing the content team, finding new tech innovations, and reporting to Charlie Collier, the president of Roku Media. Collier expressed his excitement about Holme joining Roku, stating that her expertise spans all aspects of the streaming content business and her ability to leverage data-driven insights to elevate platforms will be invaluable.
Holme comes to Roku from Warner Bros. Discovery, where she worked on multi-platform content strategies for Discovery+ and HBO Max. Prior to that, she held the position of Executive Vice President of Programming at Discovery, and before that, she worked at Hulu, where she handled content licensing, co-productions, partnerships, and strategy.
Holme's skills extend beyond her technical knowledge. She has a proven ability to build teams and respects the creative process. She is thrilled to join Roku at an exciting time in the company's evolution and looks forward to building on Roku's strong foundation while exploring new ways to connect audiences with content through cutting-edge technology.
Under Holme's leadership, This Old House content and studios will be part of Roku's content team. Holme will lead the team in original programming, content acquisitions, partnerships, sports, branded content, and the management of This Old House content and studios. She will also look for new tech innovations at Roku.
