Romania's Social Democrats generally support the second reform package, advocating for increased economic stimulus
The Social Democratic Party (PSD) in Romania has agreed to the reforms proposed by Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan, according to a report by Economedia.ro. The meeting where this agreement was reached took place on August 18.
The reforms, which come from the Liberal Party PNL in Romania, are aimed at addressing various issues within the country. However, the report also notes that some details of these reforms still need to be tackled.
Despite the agreement, PSD's interim president, Sorin Grindeanu, will not attend the coalition's leaders meeting until the details of the reforms are addressed. The PSD's experts, on the other hand, will attend coalition meetings.
It's important to note that the PSD is the largest ruling party in Romania, and the coalition partner associated with these reforms is the PNL. Ilie Bolojan himself is from the PNL, and the coalition tensions and reforms mentioned involve PSD as the partner party.
