Rovanperä encounters setback, with Ogier seizing the lead in the Rally of Paraguay following the former's misfortune
In the 10th round of the World Rally Championship (WRC), the Rally of Paraguay, the final four special stages are set for Sunday. The day was marked by a succession of incidents among the victory contenders, with Sebastien Ogier taking advantage of the situation to lead the race.
Elfyn Evans, who finished third, now trails Ogier by 36.6 seconds. The Finnish driver, who dropped to sixth place overall due to a front tire issue, is 57.3 seconds behind the leader.
Ott Tänak, who suffered a puncture early in the day and lost half a minute, is now in fourth place, 39.1 seconds behind Ogier. Tänak's teammate, Thierry Neuville, is in fifth place, 46.8 seconds behind Ogier.
