Rural Celebrations in Guardamar
Get ready for an exciting month of August and September as the picturesque town of Guardamar del Segura prepares to host its annual Countryside Festivities, or Fiestas del Campo. The festivities will run from August 30 to September 14, promising a variety of events for all ages.
Kick-off with a Bang on the First Day
The festivities will commence on Saturday with a thrilling rocket launching in the afternoon. To set the mood, Tinglao Dansaa Ballet and the Hornet Orchestra will perform, while a live DJ will keep the crowd dancing.
A Weekend of Entertainment
The parties will continue into the weekend, with events scheduled for both Saturdays and Sundays. On the first day of each weekend, children and youth can enjoy a water party, table football, billiards, a mechanical bull, and other fun activities.
For the adults, there's a wine party and an honorary wine celebration with speeches by the committee of Consuelo Torregrosa Andreu in the evening on Saturday. Domino tournaments and bingo with prizes are also part of the weekend festivities.
Traditional Offerings and Delicious Food
Sunday will feature a traditional floral offering and a paella contest, where local chefs will showcase their culinary skills. Bonfires and beers will be available from 2:00pm onwards, adding to the festive atmosphere.
A Mexican party with delicious food is also scheduled for the September festivities.
Hiking and More
For those who prefer outdoor activities, group hiking routes are part of the September activities. Keep an eye out for more events that will be announced during the festivities.
