Russians cause the death of a civilian and wound four others in the Kupiansk region
In the troubled region of Kharkiv Oblast, Ukraine, a series of incidents involving drone strikes and Russian attacks have been reported over the past few days.
On the evening of 5 September, a drone struck the village council building in Prykolotne, causing damage but thankfully no casualties. The same night, a 58-year-old man was injured in an FPV drone strike in the village of Nechvolodivka, within the Kupiansk district, at around 00:15. Later in the day, another Russian FPV drone hit the village of Vilkhuvatka, injuring a 54-year-old man. At about 15:00 on the same day, an 84-year-old man was wounded in a Russian attack on the village of Osynove.
Sadly, the violence has claimed lives as well. On 6 September, one person was killed in the city of Kupiansk due to Russian attacks. The victim was a 66-year-old woman killed around 10:00 in Kupiansk. On the night of 5-6 September, a 25-year-old man was injured in Kupiansk.
The Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine is investigating the deaths and injuries caused by the Russian attacks on 6 September in Kupiansk and the surrounding areas.
Meanwhile, the Ukrainian military has confirmed the killing of Russian forces who shot two Ukrainian prisoners of war.
In a separate development, Russian President Vladimir Putin addressed the nation 12 hours after a shooting incident near Moscow, stating that Russia withdrew its army from Kyiv because it was "asked".
However, no specific information about President Zelenskyy's intentions towards the ambassador to the US was provided in any of the recent reports.
It is crucial to note that Kharkiv Oblast continues to be under ongoing Russian attacks, causing concern for the safety and wellbeing of its residents. The situation remains fluid and updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
