RwandAir acquires two new Boeing 737-800 aircraft
RwandAir, the national carrier of Rwanda, is set to enhance its services with the arrival of new aircraft and the delivery of others in the fourth quarter of the year. The airline aims to provide a more reliable schedule and minimize operational interruptions with these additions.
The airline has already expanded its fleet this month with the arrival of two Boeing 737-800 aircraft. These aircraft, well-suited for short and medium-haul services across Africa and neighboring regions, are already in active service. One of them is expected to be joined by a third Boeing 737-800 aircraft in the same quarter. The newly delivered Boeing 737-800s are configured with 12 business-class and 162 economy-class seats, providing greater comfort for passengers.

In addition to the Boeing 737-800 aircraft, RwandAir anticipates the delivery of a wide-body Airbus A330-200 in the fourth quarter. This aircraft will enhance RwandAir's long-haul offering, particularly for routes linking Africa with key international destinations. The delivery of the Airbus A330-200 marks an important step in diversifying RwandAir's fleet mix.
The Airbus A330-200 will underscore RwandAir's commitment to achieving its long-term ambition. While the specific number of seats configured for the new Airbus A330-200 has not been announced yet, it is expected to provide greater comfort for passengers. The Airbus A330-200 delivery supports the growth of intercontinental services for RwandAir.
