Safe School Outing Appreciation: Gracious and Considerate Message for a Secure Educational Excursion

In the heart of North Rhine-Westphalia, the city of Recklinghausen joined the statewide initiative #safetiontheroads from 11th June to 18th June, aiming to promote road safety and adherence to traffic rules. This action week, led by the NRW initiative, is focused on ensuring a safer driving environment for all.

This morning, a joint control action took place around the Urbanus Primary School on Erler Street, where the speed limit is 30 km/h. Eleven drivers were caught speeding, with one man driving at an alarming 55 km/h, nearly twice the allowed speed. He will have to pay a fine for his infraction.

However, twelve drivers adhered to the speed limit and received a thank-you note from the first and second graders. The children, along with the police, checked numerous vehicles for speeding compliance. The action was well-received by all parties involved.

For those interested in learning more about the action week, updates can be found on the official website of the Police Headquarters Recklinghausen, as well as their Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and WhatsApp channels. The initiative #safetiontheroads in North Rhine-Westphalia was initiated by the North Rhine-Westphalia Ministry of Transport. Similar actions are taking place across the state during the action week, making it a significant event in the pursuit of safer roads.

It is crucial for everyone to remember that the road is a shared space, and each driver plays a role in ensuring the safety of all users. Let's all do our part in making our roads safer.
