Samsung's One UI 8 Update Release: Potential Timeline for Galaxy S25, S24, and other Galaxy Devices to Upgrade to Android 16
Samsung has announced the release dates for the stable version of One UI 8, based on Android 16, for various Galaxy devices. The update will bring a host of new features and improvements to Samsung's smartphones, tablets, and smartwatches.
Starting from early October, several devices will receive the One UI 8 update. On October 1, the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra, Galaxy Watch 6, Galaxy Watch 6 Classic, and Galaxy Watch 7 will get the update. The Galaxy Tab S10+, Galaxy Watch 4, and Galaxy Tab S10 FE+ will also join the list on the same day.
In the following week, the Galaxy Tab S8, Galaxy Tab S9, Galaxy Tab S8+, Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra, Galaxy Tab S9 FE, Galaxy Tab S9 FE+, and Galaxy Tab S10 FE will receive the One UI 8 update. The Galaxy Tab S9 FE+ 5G and Galaxy Tab Active 5 will follow on October 13 and 16, respectively.
Later in October, the Galaxy Tab S8 Lite, Galaxy Tab S10 FE 5G, Galaxy Tab S10 FE+ 5G, Galaxy Tab Active 5 Pro 5G, Galaxy Tab S10+ 5G, and Galaxy Tab S10 FE will receive the update. The Galaxy M33 5G, Galaxy M34 5G, and Galaxy Watch 5 will also be updated on different dates in October.
November will see the release of the One UI 8 update for the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro, Galaxy Watch 5 Pro, Galaxy Watch FE, Galaxy Watch 5 Pro, and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic. The Galaxy Tab A9 will receive the update on November 5, while the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite will get the update on October 23.
Leaked schedules suggest that the Galaxy S25 series will start receiving the One UI 8 update starting September 18, 2025. The Galaxy S24 series, which recently joined the One UI 8 beta program, is expected to receive the stable update in October 2025.
The Galaxy Z Fold 7, Flip 7, Flip 7 FE, Galaxy S25 FE, and Galaxy Tab S11 series will come with One UI 8 out of the box. Other Galaxy devices will receive the One UI 8 update soon.
The update will expand to older S-series devices, Galaxy Z foldables, and popular A-series and M-series models. The Galaxy M15 5G is scheduled to receive the One UI 8 update on October 27.
