Saturday Night Entertainment Takes a New Turn with RTL as Stefan Raab and Elton Present a Fresh Show
In a significant move, German television network RTL has announced a complete overhaul of the show "You Don't Win the Million Here" after the summer break in May. This decision does not affect the airing time or format of another popular RTL show, "The Unbeatable Quiz".
"You Don't Win the Million Here" is an unsuccessful show produced by Raab Entertainment for RTL. The overhaul will take place on RTL, but the details of the changes have not yet been revealed by the channel. One notable difference will be the competition format, with five 'knowledgeable candidates' battling it out, gradually reducing until only one candidate remains for the final.
Contrary to some speculations, the overhaul of "You Don't Win the Million Here" is not related to "The Unbeatable Quiz". The latter, produced by Raab Entertainment for RTL, features a moderator who appears on RTL at 11:15 a.m. on Saturdays, but the specific host for that timeslot has not been identified. The show's band, however, is the Heavytones.
The winner of "The Unbeatable Quiz" will receive a prize of 100,000 euros, but this prize is not related to the overhaul of "You Don't Win the Million Here". The two entertainers, Raab and Elton, must agree on an answer in the show, but their roles are separate from the changes in "You Don't Win the Million Here".
Markus Küttner, the Entertainment Director at RTL for this show, will oversee the production of "You Don't Win the Million Here" along with Verena Leuer and Sandra Wächtershäuser. Despite the changes, the production team remains the same for "The Unbeatable Quiz".
"The Unbeatable Quiz" will continue to air on Saturday around 11:15 PM, with no disruptions caused by the overhaul of "You Don't Win the Million Here". The fate of the latter, however, remains to be seen as RTL prepares to unveil the changes in the coming months.
