Scholarship Opportunity Announced by CTEVT PCL for 78 Local Regions in Diploma and Pre-Diploma Programs
The Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT) has recently published an online application notice for Pre-Diploma and Diploma/Certificate Level Admission. This special scholarship program is intended for students permanently residing in 78 local levels across Nepal where access to technical education has not yet been established.
The application process is open for diploma/certificate level programs, pre-diploma programs, and scholarship programs. The eligible local levels can be found in the article.
For programs not listed under section (B), the Technical Division of CTEVT will assign suitable institutions and recommend applicants for admission accordingly.
Applicants for the Certificate Level in General Medicine and Medical Lab Technology must meet specific criteria. They must have passed SEE or an equivalent exam with compulsory English, Mathematics, and Science. They must also have a minimum GPA of 2.0 out of 4.0, or have passed Technical SLC/Pre-Diploma conducted by the Council with at least 68.33% marks.
For other diploma/certificate level programs (excluding General Medicine and Medical Lab Technology), applicants must have passed SEE or an equivalent exam with compulsory English, Mathematics, and Science. They must also have a minimum GPA of 1.6 out of 4.0, or have passed Technical SLC/Pre-Diploma conducted by the Council with at least 68.33% marks.
The selection process is based on the average GPA obtained in SEE, with additional score weighting for those who graduated from Government/Community schools and Institutional schools. Tie-breaking criteria include ranking based on Final Grades in Mathematics, Science, and English, preference for candidates from remote or backward regions, and older candidates by birthdate.
Applicants are required to complete the online application form by attaching all necessary documents as specified and submit it within the given timeframe. The application period starts on 2082 Shrawan 11 (Sunday) and ends on 2082 Shrawan 29 (Thursday) at 11:59 PM. The application fee is free of cost.
Required documents include a certified copy of Citizenship Certificate or minor ID, SEE, Technical SLC/Pre-Diploma mark sheet and character certificate, Migration and equivalency certificate (for students who passed from non-SEE boards), a recent passport-size photo, and a certified letter from the local body showing migration occurred at least six months prior to the notice publication date for those with migrated residence.
The programs offered include Certificate Level in General Medicine, Certificate Level in Medical Lab Technology, Diploma in Hotel Management, Diploma in Agriculture (Plant Science), Diploma in Agriculture (Animal Science), Diploma in Civil Engineering, Diploma in Automobile Engineering, Pre-Diploma in Automobile Engineering, and Pre-Diploma in Agriculture (Livestock Production / Animal Health).
For the General Medicine and Lab Technology programs, the designated institutions are specified in the article. Selected students will receive a monthly living allowance of Rs. 3,500, an annual travel allowance of Rs. 1,500, an annual clothing allowance of Rs. 2,500, and free hostel accommodation for the entire training period.
A total of 120 seats have been allocated, including 14 seats for pre-diploma programs and 106 seats for diploma/certificate level programs. The admission and registration must be completed by 2082 Mangsir 25. Institutions must enter data in the ITMS system and submit the complete file to the respective provincial office. Registration fees must be deposited online by Mangsir 26 into the Council's account or provincial office account.
The notice is also available at www.ctevtexam.org.np. The notice was published on 2082/04/09. Classes will begin from the third week of Bhadra 2082. Students already registered and studying under any other CTEVT program are not eligible to apply. If found, applications will be automatically cancelled.
